Kate Gillings

Kate is a Registered Midwife with 15 years experience working in a tertiary hospital, specialising in neonatal care. It is here that her passion for supporting families with their feeding journeys began, in 2016 Kate became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Kate has had very different breastfeeding experiences with her three babies, during this time it became evident to her that there is a lot of conflicting, overwhelming advice around feeding and emphasised the need for accessible, evidence based, individualised support for women.

Kate has completed additional study in Family and Infant Neurodevelopmental Education (FINE) and recognises that with the right support mothers and their family units can develop strategies to feel empowered, confident and nurtured during their sacred postpartum period, whatever their feeding intentions or goals may be.
