Antenatal consult

Description - An antenatal lactation consultation delivers personalised guidance on breastfeeding, milk expression, and the fundamentals of lactation. By providing essential insights into milk production, newborn feeding cues, and effective techniques, we empower expecting parents and families with the knowledge and confidence needed to establish successful feeding and lactation from the very beginning. This early preparation is crucial for laying the foundation of a positive and rewarding lactation experience.
This kind of consult can be helpful if you’ve had a previous negative feeding experience and want to plan before your baby is born.

Initial Postnatal consult
Up to 1.5 hours + Follow up phone call 15 minutes - $160
Description - Our postnatal consultation provides individualised support to help you establish and maintain effective feeding and lactation after birth. It typically includes assessment of your baby’s latch, positioning, and oral anatomy; evaluation of milk supply, nipple health, any pain or discomfort; and guidance on breastfeeding, expressing, or combination feeding. We address any challenges—such as sore nipples, low supply, or infant weight concerns—and offer practical strategies to support comfort, confidence, and feeding/lactation success.

Subsequent consult
1 hour - *Can be added onto any other initial consult - $120
Description - Should you have any further questions, concerns, or require additional guidance and reassurance, we offer follow-up consultations tailored to your needs. These visits provide ongoing support to ensure you feel confident, empowered, and well-equipped throughout your lactation and feeding journey.

- Payments are required 24 hours prior to your appointment
- Weekend $30 additional fee, Public holiday additional $50 fee
- Travel to your home is included in package payments of 20km radius of Glenelg. Outside of this a travel fee will apply.
- A cancellation fee of 50% of the booking consult price will be charged if at least 48 hours notice is not given for cancellation or change of booking.
